Worship and Music
The Worship and Music Committee
shall assist the pastor in
providing a meaningful worship environment, making decisions regarding
the scheduling of worship and holy communion times, and planning both
regular and special worship services.
Its responsibilities are:
- Providing and training
appropriate support ministries (e.g. musicians, choirs, lay readers, ushers, acolytes,
communion assistants, altar guild, and nursery care attendants).
- Recommending to the
Congregational Council for approval any staff persons which may be
needed (e.g. organist, choir director).
- Providing for appropriate leadership of worship services in the pastor’s absence.
