Joy Lutheran Church  an ELCA Ministry

This Fall we will bring a new concept to Sunday School. We will use material entitled, "The One Room Sunday School." Dorothy Nelson and Rene Stout have volunteered to teach a class for children
in 4th grade and younger. This class will meet at the church.

For youth in 5^th grade and older we will have a traveling Sunday School- in member homes. The morning will start with a light breakfast served by the host/hostess. After breakfast this group will divide into two classes: one class for those in grades 5-7 and another for those in grades 8-12. The traveling Sunday School will end in time for everyone to make it to church for worship. One Sunday a month everyone in Sunday School will meet at the church to work on a service project.

We've scheduled RALLY DAY for Sunday, September 12. We will offer the new Sunday School format on Sunday, September 19.

The Simpson's will host the traveling Sunday School that
morning.

We offer you, the members of Joy, a pair of opportunities. First, you can open your home one Sunday this fall to the- traveling Sunday School. This will mean providing a light breakfast and a couple
spaces/rooms where each class might meet. Second, you might volunteer to teach/lead the 5^th_7th grade class. This will mean traveling to the hosting home each Sunday.
